Profile
Ketan Mehta has spent more than thirty years building brands — and the departments, campaigns, and relationships that carry them. He trained as a designer, taking a Bachelor's degree in Advertising and Graphic Design from the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, and has since practised across India, the United Kingdom, Oman, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia.
For close to two decades he led advertising and public relations at the Suhail Bahwan Group, one of the largest business houses in the Sultanate. He set up its in-house marketing-communications department from the ground up — saving the group considerable cost and giving its brands an advocate who worked with the belonging of an owner — and conceived and designed the group's own brand and logo, working closely with the owner family. In 2008 he launched BMW in Oman alongside the largest single-brand showroom in Muscat, and brought Nissan, Infiniti, and Renault to the market.
Across that career he has handled brand and communications for businesses spanning automobiles, IT and telecom, electronics, engineering and construction, building materials, furnishing, realty, travel, and logistics — and for represented marques from Rolls-Royce and BMW to Carrier, Otis, and Toshiba. In 2010 he founded Creative Elements, his own studio, to bring that range to clients at a boutique's scale — continuing his work with Synergy Advertising for some time alongside it.
